The Sarah Jerome Award

The Sarah Jerome Award

Foxtrot Oscar Cancer has been steadily growing over the past 18 months since we became an official charity and as we continue to send cancer patients to sporting events amongst many other things we want to take the time to recognise people that help us to achieve this with fundraising.

We try to take the time to thank everyone that raises any amount for us to be able to continue the work and we do this a lot when companies help us by providing them with certificates and we want to expand this to thank our biggest individual fundraiser each year.

With that in mind we have created the Sarah Jerome Fundraiser of the year award! Sarah Jerome was a fantastic lady and human being as well as being an exceptional mum who loved her sport and would regularly attend many different events. Sadly Sarah lost her battle with cancer at the end of 2021, with this in mind we wanted to use her to create a force for good and so the award was created in her honour as no doubt she would of been a huge supporter of what Foxtrot Oscar Cancer stands for and what we do.

Sarah Beirne our first Sarah Jerome Fundraiser of the year award.

This leads us to our first recipient of the Sarah Jerome Fundraiser of the year award and that is Sarah Beirne a massive CONGRATULATIONS and an even bigger THANK YOU!

Sarah took part in our FOC 100K In May in 2024 and raised a huge amount of money as an individual which was then generously matched by her employer with an incredible £1,395 raised as an individual this allowed us to send a number of patients to sporting events!

The 100K in May is back underway for 2025 and this is our biggest event and fundraiser which allows us to do the work we do and we are delighted Sarah has signed up for 2025 and we look forward to seeing who can raise the most amount of money in 2025 to claim the next Sarah Jerome award!

Thank you again to Sarah for all your hardwork!
